SA Museum - built tough: the awesome roman empire exhibition

Come, see and conquer! This summer at the South Australian Museum Built Tough: The Awesome Roman Empire Exhibition, with all its military genius and the mighty machines which shaped our civilization.

Get your hands-on working models of machinery, looking at city skyscrapers and the cranes that build them. Explore Roman technology and inventions, plot your strategy against the Roman army's tactics, or put yourself in the potter's wheel. You will also see gladiator armour and frescoes.

Built Tough is an exhibition for kids, not history loving adults. While the exhibition is informative, don't expect to find rare ancient relics from an overseas collection. Instead it's an interactive exhibition, almost as if someone brought the Roman section of a child's encyclopaedia to life.
