Just launched in Australia, the new Sanderson designer fabric and wallpaper range called Bloomsbury Canvas, Dalloway & Orlando Collections. It is something very different, fresh and reminiscent of the 1930s and the Bloomsbury era, with prints which are a mix of bright and pastels colours.
The Bloomsbury Canvas designer fabric Prints and Embroideries are inspired by the hugely creative output of the artists, poets and designers of the 1930s, especially those associated with the Bloomsbury Group and the Omega Workshops. The charm of the collection reflects the eclectic nature of influences ranging from Post Impressionist paintings and textiles, to the interior decoration in houses such as Charleston Farmhouse, the beautifully preserved home of Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, both of whom were key personalities within the Bloomsbury Group.
Orlando designer Velvet fabric is a modern and versatile figured velvet woven with a luxurious viscose pile and a contrasting linen effect ground. It is inspired by the geometric, medium-scale motifs popular in the 1920s and 30s. This modest scale velvet is perfect for contemporary pieces of upholstery, both large and small.
The Orlando designer Weave fabric collection is inspired by the hugely creative output of the artists and designers of the 1930s, especially those associated with this collection and is comprised of three small scale, semi-geometric designs from this era which have been designed to be mixed together with larger scale patterns, prints and plains to create a bohemian look.
The Dalloway designer Weave fabric collection is inspired by the hugely creative output of the artists, poets and designers of the 1930s. It is perfect for today’s stylish living.
